According to the Tibetan calendar, Tuesday May 29, 2018 marked the fourth anniversary of the parinirvana of His Holiness the 14th Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.
On this day, the venerable Rinpoches, Khenpos, Lamas and lay devotees gathered to mark this solemn occasion with a ceremony.
The program started at 10:00 am, when the venerable Rinpoches, Khenpos and Lamas of KIBI performed an Amitabha Buddha puja. Later, at 3:00 pm, the participants gathered again in the Lhakhang to recite Swift Rebirth prayers and Calling the Guru from Afar.
Finally, in the evening, we performed the offering of 1000 butter lamps and candles, performed a life release of fish in a nearby lake, and we recited the prayers of Marma Monlam and Swift Rebirth. We make the wish to see the 15th Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche among us very soon.
