From October 14th to 18th KIBI was honored with the presence of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche. On request of the students Rinpoche agreed to give a talk on Wednesday evening. He reminded everyone about the importance of Bodhicitta before giving a summary of the History of the four Schools in Tibetan Buddhism, especially focusing on the Karma Kagyu Lineage and the reincarnated lineage masters. Then he spoke vividly about his own experience of being a Tulku, his connection to H.H. the 16th Karmapa and the extraordinary and precise way His Holiness used to recognize many Tulkus.
He then bestowed the reading transmission of the 16th Karmapa’s Guru Yoga, which he had received from the 16th Karmapa himself, upon the fortunate audience. After a short question and answer session everyone had the chance to offer a khatag and receive Rinpoche’s blessing.
