Prof. Sempa Dorje’s Public Lectures (Spring Semester 2014/15)

Prof. Sempa Dorje has dedicated his whole life towards study, teaching and composition of books in various Buddhist fields, including literature and translation work. He is an ideal Buddhist scholar in modern times.
Prof. Sempa Ji is a exemplary non-sectarian scholar who is full of knowledge about the Indian culture and Tibetan Buddhism, yet with a content and simple personality. He never asks the background of the student but asks how much time the student has for study.

Program

Lectures will be given twice a week, on Wednesday and Friday at 5.30 pm, in the Auditorium.

Topics:
  • 1st week: Refuge (teaching about the Three Jewels)
  • 2nd week: Four noble truths
  • 3rd week: The three baskets and the three trainings

Gate entrance registration is mandatory for non-residential participants.
