Conclusion of the Public Meditation Course 2023/24

KIBI’s Public Meditation Course has been brought to conclusion with the recitation of vast aspiration prayers and many good wishes for all sentient beings.

This year, many first-time PMC participants as well as an equally large number of regular participants gathered in KIBI’s main shrine, where our teacher His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje, retreat master Drupon Nyigyam Rinpoche, and our Khenpos gave very precious teachings. Thus, our students were able to gain lots of knowledge in manyfold ways.

For the first time in the history of KIBI’s meditation courses, His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa granted an empowerment to the participants: Having practiced the sadhana together every day, it was a particular joy and blessing to moreover receive the initiation of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion. Afterwards, a group photo session with the KIBI language students and a group of students from Ladakh, who had come to Delhi for the preparation of the Union Public Services Commission Examination, took place.

The next day, during his final teaching session, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa handed over tokens of appreciation to all PMC volunteers who had once again kindly helped during our course. The next day, we lit butter lamps and recited Atisha’s Lamp Offering Prayer for peace and prosperity to fill the lives of all sentient beings.

Finally, we would like to offer our special thanks to His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje, Drupon Nyigyam Rinpoche, Khenpo Tsering Samdrub, Khenpo Chochok and interpreter Ani Lama Phuntsok Wangmo from Hasantar Nunnery (Karma Ngedon Osel Choekhorling, Nepal).

A heartfelt Thank You also to all participants of PMC 23/24 – we are looking forward to seeing you back at KIBI for the next Public Meditation Course, 2024/25!

May all beings always be happy!
