Karmapa Public Course 2025

Dear Dharma friends around the world,

We are delighted to invite you back to the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI)!

Course Overview
The Karmapa Public Course 2025 will take place from

Sunday, March 9^th (morning) to Monday, March 17^th (afternoon/evening).

This year’s course includes an additional day, making it the longest KPC ever.

Teachers and Teachings
We are honored to announce the following teachers and topics for this year’s course:

• • His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje
    • Teachings on Shantideva’s “Entering the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life” (Bodhicaryavatara), focusing on Chapter 8: “Meditative Absorption”
    • Two empowerments

• • His Eminence the 4th Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche
    • Topic: Buddha Nature: Based on Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye’s commentaries on the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje’s “Treatise on Pointing out the Tathagata Heart” and “Distinguishing Consciousness from Wisdom”

• • Venerable Khenpo Lobsang
    • Topic: Buddhist Epistemology (Tsema) – Continuation from last year

• Venerable Lama Jampa Thaye
  • Topic: Middle Way School: “The Emptiness of Other” Tradition (Shentong Madhyamaka) – Continuation from last year
