84000 launches new state-of-the-art Reading Room with 10 newly translated Buddhist texts

84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha is a global non-profit initiative to translate the words of the Buddha and to make them available to everyone.  84000 was born as the result of a historic conference initiated by DzongsarKhyentse Rinpoche and sponsored by the Khyentse Foundation (KF) in 2009, which brought together more than 50 of the world’s leading Tibetan Buddhist teachers, translators and academics to discuss the need for the translation of Buddhist canons.  Professor SempaDorje is among the extraordinary scholars invited participate in the 84000 conferences and K.I.B.I. is proud to support this historic initiative.
